The purpose of the advisory panel is to allow suppliers selling products to managed behavioral healthcare organizations (MBHOs) the opportunity to advise MBHOs, through AMBHA, about their public policy interests and concerns; to focus on areas of common interest; and to identify opportunities to work together.

Specifically, consultants, pharmaceutical companies, and other suppliers to MBHOs may financially contribute to AMBHA. Such contributors would receive all AMBHA executive director's reports, all AMBHA state tracking reports and they would meet with the AMBHA board of directors, in special session, at least twice a year.
